Company History

Banking and Financial Services

In 1995, operations expanded simultaneously in two directions: we began a long relationship with the banking industry, through an association, at different times, with banks like Westpac and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. At the same time, the Firm was establishing deep roots in industries that supported the banking industry and which last to this day. These include electronic transaction processors and information systems providers, both of which contributed to the development of a solid track record in the detail of banking operations. This knowledge base was to complement our growing familiarity with other emerging aspects of retail banking: e-commerce, e-procurement, IT outsourcing.

In the same period of time, Trudeau & Associates saw its operations extend into the adjoining sphere of credit union operations, with the coordination of complex technical implementation projects.

Of these professional developments, Benoit notes that, “The intensity of our growth in the banking and financial services industry was very exciting. There seemed to be a real appetite for some of the approaches we were promoting, and some of the tools we used. It was also a fast-changing environment, keen to explore alternative business forms and futures – a thrust that matched the Firm’s bent to direction-setting and strategy development.”
